About The Founder
Natalie Fumagalli, MS, CCC-SLP
I am a speech-language pathologist, and I help people who stutter. Growing up as a person who stutters, I know deeply how frustrating and painful the disorder can be.
Everyone has the right to communicate authentically and powerfully. Going beyond “normal” stuttering therapy, I work to give others who stutter the skills and confidence to feel empowered and free in saying what they want to say, when they want to say it.
I have completed extensive training in the area of fluency disorders, including workshops in the Lidcombe Program, Palin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and RESTART-DCM, and also hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Philosophy
The Chicago Stuttering Center was founded with the mission to support people who stutter and their families through therapy services, education, and advocacy. We know that stuttering and other fluency disorders are complex, and we strive to promote holistic and person-centered care based on the best current research and clinical evidence, as well as the profound personal experiences of both our clinicians and our clients.
